Relationship Therapy
We have several clinicians at our practice who are experienced in offering couples therapy and family therapy from the evidence-based modalities below:
For information about Marathon Couple’s Therapy (MCT) please visit this link or the Couples Intensives page from the main menu.
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) is an evidence-based, process-oriented approach grounded in Attachment Theory. In this model, therapists help partners break free from rigid, painful conflict patterns to rebuild a secure emotional bond. By helping each partner understand their underlying reactions to disconnection, EFCT creates a collaborative path toward meaningful connection by replacing repetitive cycles with lasting closeness.
We have a few therapists with different levels of training in EFCT, check out Kelby Broddie’s, Kaileh Butler’s, and Melanie Herbst’s bios for information about each clinician and their focus.
In Family Therapy, the focus shifts from the individual to the entire family system. Our clinicians work with families to identify underlying communication cycles, break through relational barriers, and foster deeper connection and cohesion. Depending on the clinician and your family’s unique needs, our therapists utilize modalities such as Structural Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Bowen Family Systems, and Strategic Family Therapy.
Take a look at these clinicians’ bios to learn more about what type of family therapy work they offer: Brogan Glover-Smith, Melanie Herbst, and William Zogg.
The Gottman Method is a research-driven approach developed over four decades of studying what helps relationships thrive. This model provides structured guidance to reduce destructive conflict while fostering intimacy, connection, and effective communication. Because of its practical foundation, many couples therapists integrate Gottman principles and tools directly into their clinical work.
Please check out the Couples Therapists listed on the Our Team page to learn more about what styles each therapist offers.
