Intern Therapist
Ages 11+, Depression, Anxiety, Dissonance, Anger, Existential Angst
Who are you when you let go of all that you are not? Inherent in therapy is a profound exploration of the self, in all its confusing and wondrous glory. This process can be unsettling, delightful, painful, and surprising—it is my goal to hold a space of utter acceptance throughout every stage of this journey we take together. I value cultivating an open, free dynamic with direct, precise, and compassionate communication as we engage with and discover your unique reality. Drawing on disciplines such as existential therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness training, and various somatic disciplines such as Alexander Technique and Trager®, we will practice clear seeing into patterning and explore what alternative choices are available. Ultimately, you get to decide how to live your life. I am honored to accompany you on that journey.
My previous lines of employment include working in substance abuse treatment and as a bodyworker, which has taught me humility in working with folks from all walks of life. As a bodyworker, I’ve come to recognize the importance of tapping into our bodies, both as a resource for support and as a medium to discover what we are feeling.
In my free time, I enjoy drinking nice tea, romping in nature, and nerding out about knots.
