Let’s pause here. In the place of your inquiry, wherever you are at in a world that is spinning. It may feel very heavy. It may feel chaotic. You may feel very far away or trapped under everything. Fear, anger, wonder, resilience…all are expressions in the context of the circumstances we face in our world. All can be met and transformed.

My name is Sara. I am an intern mental health counselor. I completed my coursework at Walden University to deepen what I have to offer in personal and community healing. The last 20 years of my career have been about creating healing-centered spaces in organizations and the community with teens and adults. My life experiences, intersectionalities, and deep spiritual and ancestral connections help inform my welcome of you in every diversity of being and all you might be facing.

I am here to meet you in the courage it takes to seek counseling. I am here with warmth and presence as well as a fierce belief in you. In us.

Specific areas of passion I have include supporting people with the impacts of high-demand performance expectations. Students. Sports. Body image. Work/Career. Parenting. Relationships. And those marginalized, neglected, written off. Supporting people to move from frozen places of individual and collective trauma to find the wisdom and liberation that have been waiting for them. Supporting life transitions at every age: identities, confusion, deep grief, pain, hopes, dreams, and connecting to what is deeply meaningful to you.

I use a unifying framework grounded in Collaborative and Relational-Cultural therapy. With your permission, I walk with you in the movie of the world as you see it, feel it, process it–and support your exploration of healing in deeper understanding and choice and accompaniment.

Certifications I have include Advanced Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness and Healing-Centered Engagement. I have a specialization in Play Therapy and offer opportunities for creative expression with art/collage/writing/poetry, sand tray therapy, and somatic interventions that center the intersection of body and self… and the spirit of who you are.

Sara is 4th generation Norwegian, Italian, German American. She loves to walk in the snow and find the deeper freedoms and truths in transformative poetry and spontaneous play.
