I am an integrative or eclectic therapist who borrows from multiple perspectives to tailor an approach that best meets your needs. I primarily use psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, psychoeducational, and solution-focused frameworks and techniques to inform our work together.
Rather than focusing on specific populations and problems during my seven years as a therapist, I have set out to embrace a diversity of people, culture, worldviews, and issues. I am eager to learn about you and will do so in a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space that’s designed to promote personal growth. The trajectory and duration of therapy with me is flexible and adaptive to your ever-changing needs. My work best supports growth through change and action, but I accept everyone’s own pace.
I graduated with a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Central Florida in 2009. The first half of my career was spent as a social worker helping various populations in need, especially those without housing and suffering severe mental illness, systematic oppression, and issues related to addiction. My start as a therapist came in the college/academic setting, and I have spent the past five years working with a small group practice. I have lived in every corner of the country and now make Bellingham my home.
