Jill Ralston (she/her/hers)

Intern Therapist

Adults, Teens, Anxiety, Depression, Big Emotions, Relationship struggles, Life transitions, Mindfulness

My name is Jill, and I am working toward my Master’s in Counseling at Prescott College. During my internship at Accent Counseling, I am dedicated to being an advocate for you, your distinct experiences, and your goals.

I believe that while difficulty in life is inevitable, developing self-awareness, self-compassion, and healthy coping mechanisms can temper the intensity of life’s hardships. With this perspective in mind, I aim to create a safe and open space where I will listen to and support your unique process. Our counseling relationship will always be collaborative, as you are the expert of your life. Counseling is a brave endeavor, and I look forward to meeting you with kindness, empathy, and openness.

I use various methods to support my process, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic practices, and Motivational Interviewing.

I love to do anything creative and be outside (hiking, camping, walks around Bellingham). I also continuously strive toward my emotional well-being as I see a counselor regularly. I have several self-care practices, such as yoga, meditation, listening to self-development podcasts, and having fun with loved ones.
