Julea Ivancovich (she/her)

Intern Therapist

Ages 16+, LGBTQIA+, Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Trauma, Relationships, Divorce/Co-Parenting Concerns, and Sexual Assault/ Domestic Violence

I am passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change. I have a history of advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including within the LGBTQIA+ community, and I am committed to multicultural advocacy and promoting inclusivity in all aspects of care. I blend structured and exploratory techniques to help clients build coping skills, navigate life challenges, and foster personal growth. I strive to tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of every client, empowering them to make progress in ways that feel authentic to their journey.

I am passionate about working with young adults and adults across the lifespan who are navigating life challenges, emotional distress, or mental health concerns. My work with clients is trauma-informed and grounded in humanistic principles. I draw from Person-Centered, Narrative, and Compassion-Focused Therapy approaches, and I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where you can explore your experiences, make meaning of your story, and reconnect with your sense of self in a way that feels authentic to you.

I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Prior to this, I earned my degree in Health Psychology, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding the connection between mental and emotional well-being and overall health.

It is truly an honor to be invited into this work, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you in your therapy journey.

When I am not balancing the needs grad school and internship you can find me trying out new recipes, spending time with my husband and kids or outside taking walks in nature.
