Hi, I’m Julea, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern. I am passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change. I have a history of advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including within the LGBTQIA+ community, and I am committed to multicultural advocacy and promoting inclusivity in all aspects of care. I blend structured and exploratory techniques to help clients build coping skills, navigate life challenges, and foster personal growth. I strive to tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of every client, empowering them to make progress in ways that feel authentic to their journey.
I am passionate about working with young adults and adults across the lifespan who are navigating life challenges, emotional distress, or mental health concerns. I also have experience supporting individuals affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, divorce and the legal system. As well as those navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, and co-parenting or family dynamics. I provide trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ inclusive care that is tailored to each client’s unique journey, fostering healing, connection, and progress.
