Jessa Farr (She/Her)
Intern Therapist
Anxiety, Body Acceptance, Neurodivergence, Depression, Coping Skills, Life Transitions, Self-Compassion
Hi I am Jessa, an intern therapist from Antioch University Seattle, who is passionate about empowering clients to embrace their personal strengths and self-acceptance. Together we will create a safe space that allows you the opportunity to work through issues that are often uncomfortable or painful to talk about. It is my hope that our work together will help you have a better understanding of yourself and your personal growth.
My theoretical orientation is based in narrative therapy, but I often pull from other therapeutic modalities including somatic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and internal family systems therapy in order to create an empowering personal narrative. In addition, I aim to help you create a coping tool skill set that meets your unique needs.
I am currently pursuing a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University, and I have a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Western Washington University (2009). I have spent most of my career navigating corporate America. More recently I have worked with children as a paraeducator and adults in addiction recovery.
Outside of counseling I enjoy board games, drawing, pickleball, weightlifting, reality television, and spending time with my cat.
