Alisa Taylor (she/hers), M.Ed, LMHC

Therapist

Youth, Teens, and Young Adult, Youth and Family, LGBTQIA +, Trauma, Life Transitions, Grief, Anxiety, and Depression.

Working with kids, teens, and young adults is my specialty and passion. With a warm sense of humor, ample patience, and a knack for connecting with young people, I aim to create a trusting and comfortable therapeutic relationship.

My over all goal is to listen and respect each individuals unique personality and needs to help them feel confident with themselves while exploring their therapeutic goals.
I utilize a Person Centered and Strengths Based therapeutic approach primarily, but I like to adjust my modalities to the most relevant in assisting each client within my scope of practice. This includes but is not limited to Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and more.

I enjoy working with clients families when appropriate, while always respecting the clients wishes. Since being a licensed therapist I have grown comfortable working with queer youth, trauma, C-PTSD, life transitions, body image, anxiety, depression, and general situational processing. Outside the office I am most likely cuddling with my two cats or poking at a cool bug I found.
