Intern Therapist
LGBTQIA+/Queer Identified, Trans or Gender-Curious Folks, Anxiety, Depression, ENM/Polyamory, Identity Exploration/Issues, Trauma
Hello, my name is Mack!
I believe therapy is a space for profound growth, transformative learning, and meaningful challenge. Together, we will build a therapeutic relationship grounded in care, empathy, and respect.
I’m passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, life transitions, relationship dynamics, and trauma processing. I especially enjoy working with young adults, queer and trans individuals, gender-curious folks, those practicing ethical non-monogamy or polyamory, and anyone curious about understanding themselves more deeply.
My therapeutic presence is warm, curious, and collaborative. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Transfeminist Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I am inspired by internal parts work rooted in Internal Family Systems and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment. My approach is client-centered and grounded in a multicultural, transfeminist framework that honors the intersecting identities and lived experiences that shape who we are.
I’m currently pursuing a certification in Gender Affirming Clinical Practice.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in case management, where I learned firsthand the impacts of trauma, systemic failure, and institutional oppression on individuals and families. That experience continues to inform my work; I understand how housing instability, chronic health conditions, and the pressures of capitalism affect mental health. I believe in the power of community care, mutual support, and honoring resilience in all its forms.
