Kate Anderson, LMFTA (She/Her)

Therapist

Adults, couples/families, communication issues, family-of-origin trauma, identity development, postpartum adjustment, and neurodiversity

I deeply believe that we don’t have to do this work alone— healing can be both tender and powerful when held in safe relationship.

I show up to therapy with a grounded presence and a deep belief in your capacity to heal and grow. I see therapy as a collaborative process—one where we gently explore the patterns, stories, and relationships that shape your experience, with space for both self-compassion and change.

My approach is relational, systemic, and trauma-informed. I draw from Satir Transformational Therapy, Relational Life Therapy (RLT), and attachment-based work such as EFT. I work with adults and couples navigating relationship challenges, family-of-origin dynamics, and big life transitions. I’m passionate about helping clients move through challenges with ADHD, disordered eating, and perfectionism—especially when those patterns feel tangled up in overwhelm, self-doubt, and unmet needs.

I also have additional training in perinatal mental health and trauma, and I love walking alongside new parents and birthing people as they navigate postpartum shifts, identity changes, or birth-related grief.

I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University and my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of British Columbia.

Outside of the therapy room, I can be found reading, knitting, kayaking, and being outdoors with my family.
