The stories we tell become the stories we live, so Teresa’s goal is to help you uncover hidden storylines that open up fuller, more meaningful ways of being in the world while practicing acceptance and compassion for the pain that is also a part of being human.

Experienced in individual and group counseling, Teresa enjoys working with adolescents and adults with a wide variety of concerns. She uses a non-judgmental, integrative, and collaborative approach to help you bring mindful awareness to your body, mind, relationships, and experiences to reveal the inner wisdom and values that will better guide your actions. Her approach is tailored to your needs and draws from a variety of evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Informed practices, Somatic therapies, Art therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Teresa holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Washington and attended graduate school at Antioch University New England where she received a Master of Science degree and just completed requirements (including an internship at the WWU Counseling and Wellness Center) for a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. Teresa is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington and will be applying for a psychology license in the coming months. She has been working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings for several years. A lifelong learner, Teresa enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, and outdoor activities.
