Stephanie Richey, MS, LMHC

Therapist

Adults (18+), Anxiety, Trauma, Grief, Relationship Concerns, Self-Esteem/Self-worth

My primary goal as a therapist is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space that is dedicated to supporting you.

My approach is compassion-focused, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed. I tend to use many different modalities, some of which include: attachment theory, narrative therapy, internal family systems therapy, and emotionally focused therapy. I also often draw on cognitive science.

In our sessions, we will work together to explore the context of whatever challenges or issues you’re facing. We’ll look at your past, including early childhood experiences, and how that’s informing the present. We’ll often dive into the underlying causes of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to build awareness that empowers you. Exploring this context helps us highlight patterns of how you connect to yourself and others, and identify the patterns that you would like to change. Throughout this process, we’ll also practice building self-compassion and mindfulness as a way to process difficult emotions.

Together we build on your strengths and work through whatever you feel like is holding you back.
