Rachel strives to create an authentic and affirming environment that best supports the unique needs of each person. She believes a strong therapeutic relationship between the client and counselor is the foundation for effective growth and change. Rachel emphasizes that individuals are the experts of their own lives and she enjoys walking with them on their path of growth and healing.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Washington University in Sociology and a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Central Washington University. She enjoys working with young adults and adults as they navigate through life’s challenges. Rachel uses a person-centered relational approach including Humanistic Theories, Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Rachel is a climate-aware therapist and a friend of the outdoors. Outside of session, she loves to spend time in nature, cook, bake sourdough bread, and make music.
