Starting therapy can be an intimidating, exciting, nerve-wracking, scary thing to do. Wear the choice to start therapy as a badge of courage, because you’re someone who is courageous enough to show up to your own life wholeheartedly. As a therapist, my goal is to come alongside you in your mental health journey, regardless of where you are. The most important part of my approach to therapy is that one way does not work for everyone, so let’s work together to find the best fit for you with no judgment. I utilize a holistic approach to your mental health healing journey, focusing on the subconscious mind while incorporating aspects of energy psychology.
Roald Dahl captures the essence of my approach when he wrote, “And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” My goal is to empower your unique “you-ness,” through encouraging you to seek that out within yourself in order to find a deep peace and grounding in that knowing. I want you to walk away from therapy feeling like a better you, and confident, equipped, and able to tackle the journey that life holds for you.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, a Master of Public Service from The Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Arkansas, and a Master of Social Work from The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I have a Social Work Associate Advanced License in Washington. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient solution-focused therapeutic settings, as well as, in acute inpatient settings. In my free time, I enjoy getting outdoors with my puppy, Maevis, whether that is hiking, camping, kayaking, or simply dancing in the rain. I also enjoy playing the guitar, cooking, and traveling.
