The journey through the ever-changing stages of life can at times be difficult and overwhelming. When we experience loneliness, depression, fear, or disconnection, our relationships to others and to our true selves can become closed off, leaving us feeling isolated and in pain.
No one should have to navigate these challenges alone. It is Emily’s belief that in those moments of hardship there is immense power and courage in reaching out. By seeking new support, you can gain awareness and perspective on what is happening within and around you. As you grow in this awareness, you will be better equipped to meet your needs, care for yourself and nourish your relationships.
Emily strives to foster a genuine and caring connection wherein you can share your stories, explore their meanings, cultivate your strengths and feel empowered to make any necessary changes. Ultimately, she seeks to support each person in achieving a more joyful life.
Emily received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and draws from a variety of evidence-based clinical theories and practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She also has 15 years of experience working with youth and young adults in a variety of settings, from outdoor education and wilderness therapy to non-profits and social justice advocacy. In her free time, she loves to adventure outside, get cozy inside (books, baking, blankets!), spends time laughing and connecting with friends, as well as taking time alone to recharge and nourish herself.
