Christina Choi-Pearce
Intern Therapist
Adults, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Life Transitions, People of Color
Hello and welcome! My name is Christina and I want to start by celebrating you in this first step that you are taking in reaching out for support! Life can be hard and overwhelming, and no one should have to go at it alone. I aim to create a warm, empathetic, and supportive space for you to explore what is going on in your life and where you would like to go.
I believe that you are a complex, multifaceted individual with identities that are unique to you and impact your life experiences differently than others. I aim to understand your experiences through your identities and to always keep those at the forefront of our work together. As an Asian-American woman, I understand what it feels like to have my identities either pushed away or not acknowledged as having direct impact on my life experiences. My main goal is to create a space that is safe for you to show up as you are. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and multimodal keeping you and your story at the center of the work.
I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Washington University here in Bellingham, WA. I moved to Bellingham 10 years ago and fell in love with the city. In my free time, I am usually exploring the city’s food and coffee scene with my husband, our dog, and whatever my current read is.
