Project Description

Brittany Bacon, MA, LMHC

Relationship Issues, Couples Counseling, Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Parenting Issues

Brittany believes first and foremost in the powerful healing and growth that can happen in relationship. Her therapeutic approach is focused on meeting people where they are, and engaging each individual in a healing dialogue that is appropriate and specific to their life. She is a process oriented therapist. This means that she is primarily interested in understanding the process through which my clients respond to the world and how they make meaning out of their experiences. Her goal is to facilitate increased awareness in her clients and improve agency, choice, and connection in their lives.

Brittany works with couples and individuals age 13 and up. While her clinical orientation is primarily informed by Gestalt principles, she utilizes an eclectic variety of methods including Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral techniques and Mindfulness, Experiential-based focusing, and Gottman therapy methods.

Brittany has over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in educational and clinical capacities. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Portland in philosophy, and later pursued her Master of Arts degree in psychology from Seattle University. Outside of the office, Brittany enjoys traveling, practicing martial arts, yoga, and dance.
