Alisha Allen
Therapist
Children, Teens, Trauma, Personal Growth, Life Challenges and Transitions
I enjoy working with children and teens to help them navigate life’s challenges. My approach is to work collaboratively with my clients and create a safe space that promotes authenticity and personal growth.
I incorporate the use of therapeutic play in many of my sessions with younger children. I think play is important for children because it can help them learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, and develop problem-solving skills.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, staying active, doing art projects, traveling, and spending time with friends and family – especially over a good meal.
I was born and raised in Ferndale and earned my Bachelor’s in Human Services from Western Washington University before attending Adams State University and graduating with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
